JACKSON, Tenn. — A neighborhood group is working with Jackson and Madison County leaders to honor Vietnam veterans.
The Jackson-Madison Chapter Nationwide Society Daughters of the American Revolution can be holding a commemoration at Jackson Metropolis Corridor on March 29 at 10 a.m.
The commemoration will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the battle and the “final boots on the bottom” in 1975.
Metropolis Mayor Scott Conger and county Mayor Jimmy Harris can be making a joint declaration making the day Vietnam Veterans Day in each Jackson and Madison County.
