Sotheby's auctions paintings of Vietnam’s countryside in 20th century

The above unsigned lacquer portray, “Panorama in Northern Vietnam” portrays three farmers in opposition to mountains and rice fields. “Flower distributors close to Hoan Kiem Lake” by Phung Fu was offered for 176,400 euros. The oil portray on silk, finished in 1936, reveals an idyllic scene far faraway from downtown Hanoi at present.
