Vietnam’s largest electronics retailer, Cell World, reported an 8 p.c rise in earnings to VND1.08 trillion ($47 million) in January-February.
Revenues climbed by 17 p.c to VND25.38 trillion, with over 80 p.c, or VND21.3 trillion, coming from smartphones and electronics and VND3.9 trillion from its grocery chain, Bach Hoa Xanh.
It reported over VND100 billion in gross sales from its 5 newly launched retail chains that promote clothes, mom and child merchandise, watches and jewellery, and sporting items and sportswear.
The corporate administration stated its drugstore chain An Khang’s revenues had tripled year-on-year with out offering numbers.
Cell World targets post-tax earnings of VND6.35 trillion on revenues of VND140 trillion this 12 months.
Increasing the core companies of smartphones and electronics retailing whereas branching out to new areas are the methods for progress, the administration stated.
