1000’s of individuals in a number of French cities marched Saturday to protest racism and police brutality.
In Paris, protesters paraded by town heart behind a banner condemning “state crimes”. Different demonstrators carried “Black Lives Matter” banners.
A number of individuals spoke on the rally to inform the tales of members of their households who had died by the hands of the police.
Inside ministry figures put the turnout out at 2,100, however the march organizers estimated 8,000-10,000.
The inside ministry stated one other 11 protests befell elsewhere in France, saying the overall turnout for these protests was 1,400.
Different protests befell in Bordeaux and Toulouse within the southwest, and Lyon within the southeast.
Saturday’s demonstration comes two days forward of Worldwide Day for the Elimination of Racism.
It’s held on March 21 to mark the day, in 1960, that police in apartheid South Africa opened hearth on a peaceable demonstration, killing 69 individuals.
